Are you in need of a trustworthy mechanic to take care of your Fisker Karma Service in Chicagoland? The Karma is not exactly a run of the mill kind of vehicle, and its service requirements aren’t either. To properly repair and service a car like this, takes more than just basic general mechanic knowledge. He is trained in all of the factory-certified courses and has completed countless Fisker Karma service and repairs, both here at FMU and at the dealership.
Not too long ago Matt completed a pretty complex diagnosis and repair on a 2012 Fisker Karma ES. The vehicle was overheating and displaying the fault because the range extender generator engine cooling fan had failed. After Matt, our Factory Trained Fisker mechanic had replaced the cooling fan, the car returned to optimum performance and all fault messages were no longer present. However, there was still a rattling noise that our auto mechanic noticed coming from the muffler while the car was running. After looking over the car and running more tests our certified Fisker Mechanic saw that the muffler welds had failed! We were able to repair this as well using our experience with fabrication and custom exhausts.
We also recently had another Fisker Karma service in which a body control module had failed causing the car to become inoperable. This issue was diagnoses promptly by Matt, and we are currently awaiting replacement parts!
November 2012 Fisker was forced out of business due to their battery supplier A123 Systems filing for bankruptcy. Without a source of batteries, Fisker Automotive was forced to shut down only creating approximately 2,450 Karmas during their short run. This has made it difficult for Fisker Karma owners to find trustworthy and knowledgeable repair shops to fix their cars. Since there are no dealers left it’s up to the independent shops to take on the job. Luckily for you, Fluid has got your back!
