Retooling

Retooling

If you read the ad for Marilynn’s M45, you’d know we were retooling the exhaust to make it a bit quieter. Well, here are some pictures of that retooling for you.

Previously, the back portion of Marilynn’s exhaust consisted of some loops and extra piping to quiet it down. To get a more refined note out of the exhaust, rather than focus on pure loudness, we set about adding a set of mufflers at the end of the exhaust, just before the tips. Yesterday, we started with just a muffler on a mount, and the old piping a fair distance away from the mufflers:

Today, well, it’s pretty much done, except for brackets and mounts (which could be done by the time this is published). The mufflers still allow us to do dual-tip exits on each side, just not as angled as before. Either way, they’re looking pretty swell, as is the piping going between the old and the new:

And as you and we both know, there’s one thing that will make this exhaust post complete — gratuitous weld shots!

Look forward to video soon! …Provided somebody doesn’t snatch it up first, as it is still for sale!

How much are you asking for this vehicle & are there any pictures/videos where I can see more of it? I currently own one & have been looking to add power to it, but there aren’t any shops in the Detroit area capable of fulfilling my requests. It seems like I might be better off buying one already done. Lemme know if this car is still available & if not then maybe I can customize my own. Thanks!
