20 Sep Looking Good in Gray
Anticipation is simultaneously one of the best and one of the worst feelings. Knowing that something’s on the horizon can bring about excitement and constant thoughts centered around that event. On the other hand, the waiting is the hardest part as anticipation leads to anxiety and just wanting to have it now. Such is the case when dropping off a car at Fluid. You’re excited for the end result, the car rolling out of the garage and the keys landing once again in your hand. Before that happens, though, all you can do is wait. That payoff is totally worth it, though. Today, the payoff comes in the form of this gray E46 M3.
This specific specimen arrived some time ago for some work. By work, we mean:
- -Active Autowerke HKS Supercharger Kit
- -KW v3 Coilovers
- -Headers
- -Full midsection fabrication with two resonators
M3s are typically angry cars. This car, however, went from angry to full-on pissed off. The exhaust note gained a significant amount of growl and small children everywhere began weeping in terror. The coilovers provide ample road feeling, as well; it’s not as slammed as some other cars are (and the coilovers can certainly go lower), but function must occasionally supersede form. Overall, all the new parts came together to beef up a car that was already plenty beefy. And the client was definitely pleased when he came to get the car; we’re always glad to see the elation on the faces of clients as they pick their cars up, it reminds us that our job is to not only keep cars alive and healthy, but also to keep the passion and love for driving alive.
