For Sale: Marilynn’s M45

For Sale: Marilynn’s M45

You may have seen a blurb or two about it somewhere, but we figured we’d post it here for posterity’s sake. The mother of all mom cars, Marilynn’s M45, is for sale.

There isn’t a whole lot of history on this car, as it’s only ever been in Marilynn’s possession, and she’s been…well…here. So let’s just get into the meat-and-potatoes of the post, the information:

The Car: 2006 Infiniti M45 Sport. Both the Journey and Tech packages were purchased with the car.
The History: One owner — Marilynn. Purchased new. No rust, no issues.
The Color: Santorini Black exterior, Tan/Brown interior
The Mileage: ~51,000 and climbing (under the industry standard 12,000/year
The Modifications:
FMU Custom Headers
FMU Custom Full Exhaust
FMU Ported + Polished Intake Manifold
FMU Custom Intake
M45 Sport Front Bumper
FMU Custom Catch Can + Fluid Reservoirs
AP Racing Front Big Brake Kit
Auto Couture Supreme Wheels – 19×11 Front, 19×12.5 Rear
Wizards of NOS 75-Shot Wet Nitrous System (never used)
FMU Custom Frankenstein Air Suspension Kit (took a hodge-podge of air setups to produce the lows we wanted)
FMU-Notched Frame (for additional max lows and such)

In terms of ride quality with the air suspension, it’s sporty and definitely not, as somebody described it, “80’s-Lincoln soft.” The stock ride was a bit harsh, and the air system has all but removed that harshness while still letting you get a bit aggressive in the corners. Just make sure it’s aired up when you go to move the wheel, and make sure the wheels are straight when you air down.

The next six pictures were taken by Mike Burroughs on his winter trip to FMU headquarters:

For those of you wondering what it looks like at a drivable ride height, and for those of you wondering what the exterior looks like in the daytime, here you go:
