Chicagoland Leather Repair

Chicagoland Leather Repair

Leather, especially in older BMW’s is prone to cracking which looks terrible. Fortunately, there are some companies out there that offer quality leather repair. Dahl Color has been in business for over 30 years and when you see the quality leather repair provided, you’ll know why! Take a look at the images below of their recent work for us on a BMW E39 M5. Dahl uses all OEM Leather Dyes that are factory color matched so in turn, the seats look and feel as they did when the car sat in the showroom 14 years ago.

As seen below, the cracks are starting to show and the leather as become extremely shiny losing all of it’s original feel and softness.

After the first step, most of the cracking is gone. The color isn’t quite as black as before but that is handled next.

Most vehicle leather color is actually painted. The paint is taken down and filled with a synthetic leather filler, then repainted.
