24 Jun BMW 335 in for downpipes and a Remus Exhaust Install
If you follow our blog, you’ve probably seen quite a few BMW E92’s roll through here for a variety of work. Most 335i owners looking to mod, begin with the JB4 or flash tune treatment to start. However, once they’ve been bitten by the mod bug, almost everyone ends up wanting more power.
That’s where downpipes come in. When running a tune on an N54 with downpipes you can expect around an extra 80-100HP at the crank, and that’s a pretty serious gain for not a serious amount of money!
This customer went with downpipes and a Remus quad exhaust system. In order to get the exhaust to fit, the bumper had to be trimmed accordingly, not a very easy install for the DIY’er. Overall fitment was pretty decent, but had a few things that could have been improved by the manufacturer. The sound of the exhaust gave it a deeper, sportier sound without being too unrefined.
