Breaking Things Down, Building Things Up

Breaking Things Down, Building Things Up

As Luci would say, there’s been “lots of action” today, spanning the various garage bays and the various vehicles on our campus.

In service, Zach’s busy breaking down a 7-series’ engine to replace some timing components, among other things:

Upon emptying the oil pan, we noticed the oil had a weird consistency to it:

Over on Luci’s side, there’s a 5-series’ engine being broken down and built back up using a donor block’s parts:

In between those two bays, we installed the stainless steel brake lines on the Z4M:

And finally, in fabrication news, we’re starting to put the final assembly touches on the RS6’s new trans and oil coolers. Here’s a sneak peek:

In other news, Craig and AJ should be on their way back from the airport as we speak, unless customs didn’t approve of Craig’s beard (and AJ’s serious lack thereof). More things should be moving in fabrication once we get back to normal.
