Middle East Update
After over a month of headaches and frustration the cars are here, in our possession, and the X5 and 7 have passed inspection and can finally be registered and sold.
The X5 failed inspection the first time because it was too loud. The guys back in Chicago were able to throw together some silencers for us to jam in the mid-section to get it to pass. Props. They did require some improv with a bit a steel wool and the only thing we had to hold it in place, solder. They worked great but for the record the mid-section does get hot enough to melt solder.

The SRT didn't pass because it was too loud but it did pass the sniffer test, and if this thing is passing what's the point of even having the test? Does anyone fail emissions here? It did take them a while to figure out where the exhaust was actually coming out though.
Knowing the right people is what makes everything happen here. These gentlemen were kind enough to “help” the inspection process for us.
How does this scene make any sense?
